Bridging Musical Heritage
BMH – Bridging Musical Heritage is a new project that promotes and disseminates the heritage of European early music, especially from the Iberian Peninsula.
The project strengthens connections developed over the past 10 years between research and performance centers in Portugal, Spain, and France, aiming to expand their scope of action and influence.
Through the circulation of musicians, the availability of scores recovered from the Monastery of Santa Cruz in Coimbra (Portugal), the production of free digital content, and the implementation of multiple and diverse educational activities, Bridging Musical Heritage will offer new perspectives on musical heritage and promote transnational exchange of musicians and this heritage across Europe. This will have a lasting impact on current and future generations by fostering interest and curiosity in Europe’s shared musical culture and heritage, while making it widely and easily accessible.
