Artway Management

Artway was founded in 2011 in response to a clear gap: in Portugal, there was no structure dedicated to artist management in the field of classical music. The difference between the reality faced by Portuguese musicians and that of their international peers was evident. There was a lack of structured support to help artists promote their work and organize their projects. It was from this need that Artway emerged. Initially conceived as an agency, it quickly evolved into a more comprehensive structure. In order to effectively address the challenges faced by musicians, it also became a production company, taking on an active role in creating opportunities, developing projects, and securing funding. This led to the consolidation of an integrated and cross-disciplinary model that supports artists at every stage of their careers. At the core of this work is a constant attention to the uniqueness of each musician and each project, combined with a firm commitment to artistic quality. For Artway, “management” is a broad concept that encompasses booking, production, programming, curatorship, and artistic consultancy — always supported by a specialized team capable of responding to the diverse challenges of the musical landscape.

Cultural Management

With more than a decade of experience, Artway is part of programming networks and collaborates with municipalities and cultural institutions, contributing to the decentralization and sustainability of the sector. It acts as a mediator between artists, territories, and audiences, developing initiatives that strengthen the social and cultural impact of art.

Artistic Management

Artway represents and supports some of Portugal’s most prominent musicians, promoting the development of their careers and the realization of artistic projects of excellence. Through close collaboration, it focuses on building relationships of trust and strengthening professional practices in the field of classical music.

Artistic Productions

Since 2011, Artway has been involved in a wide range of artistic productions — from music to theatre and dance — promoting the circulation of works and artists both nationally and internationally. From Bragança to Funchal, and across Spain, France, and the United Kingdom, it has established itself as an active agent in cultural creation and dissemination.

Record Label

Through its catalogues Artway Records, Artway Next and Artway Jazz, Artway has contributed to the recording and promotion of Portuguese musical heritage. With more than forty titles, many of which world premiere recordings, it has preserved and disseminated the national repertoire, establishing itself as a reference in contemporary classical discography.

Projects

Artists

We work with a wide range of cultural institutions to help them develop exciting content, realise innovative projects and formulate creative responses to the challenges they face. Drawing upon a wealth of experience and expertise across the company – including artistic planning, tour and project management, marketing, sponsorship, strategic, financial and organisational planning and structuring – we put together a bespoke team for each project to work in partnership with all stakeholders to set out objectives and deliver real change. While each creative consultancy service is different, here are the key services that we offer, often in combination.
