They define their practice as a joint exploration of visual and sound expression, where technique serves human connection and cultural identity across the various professional contexts they engage in. Their work highlights projects with strong participatory and inclusive aspects: in 2021, through the AMASS project (APECV), they used art as a tool for inclusion; in the Cardo Project, they took on the visual identity and creation of audiovisual works celebrating community engagement. Their commitment to intangible heritage is evident in close collaboration with Tiago Pereira on “A Música Portuguesa a Gostar Dela Própria,” as well as in documentary work capturing the essence of oral tradition, such as the project “Os Zés Pereiras: uma cultura musical do Entre-Douro-e-Minho.” This artistic sensibility is deeply shaped by two foundations: the discipline of Aikido, a martial art they practiced and taught for over 20 years, and nearly two decades of experience in Portuguese traditional music, traveling across Europe performing at folk dances and leading workshops on traditional Portuguese music and dance. In 2025, in collaboration with Joana Pereira, they joined the Artway team, taking responsibility for audiovisual content. At Artway, they channel this multidisciplinary experience to respond strategically and creatively to project needs, balancing artistic vision with the rigor of visual communication. They also work as a trainer, empowering others through a photographic perspective.
